We all know the usual comment stating that the particular acne treatment is not working as it claims. Synthetic or natural acne treatment, both alike, produce adverse results when exposed to different climate, environment, and many other factors.
It is often advised that we apply sunscreen when we go outside or get expose to sunlight. We still have to apply sunscreen after applying our acne creams because the acne cream may work otherwise and cause opposite result such as worsening our acne skin condition. It is even possible that cancer-causing chemicals gets released and absorb into our skin because due to the complexity of synthetic acne products, we cannot guarantee that it will not produce or become a different chemical when exposed to direct sunlight. Therefore, it is better to take precaution than to be sorry later.
For natural acne treatment such as lemon juice, it is also advisable to apply sunscreen if you have applied lemon juice on our skin. The lemon juice is a strong natural chemical and it has bleaching properties. You will know how strong and active this ingredient is when you get the stinging sensation after applying it on open wounds. Concentrated lemon juice can be very harsh on the skin, unless it is mixed with softening ingredients such as milk, honey or just water. It will only double the strength of the lemon juice when the concentrated juice is used as well as exposing your skin to sunlight.
Another possible factor that causes your acne treatment product is not working is because you have been using a different acne product yesterday and also a number of other acne products. Sometimes, a product needs time to get used to your skin. If you keep changing a lot of products within a short time period, it will not allow enough time for the product to work on your skin. If possible, try to spend a reasonable amount of time on a product before switching to another.
Acne treatments may not work simply because the product is not suitable for your skin in a certain climate your environment is. Personally, I’ve found that when I am in hot countries, the acne creams that I used while I was in colder countries do not work and sometimes it makes my acne worse. It’s because the climate tend to bring in a lot of factors such as bacteria and our skin condition. Hot climate countries tend to make you sweat more, you get oily very easily and it is suitable to use light-based acne gel and moisturizer. There are many moisturizers that are made into lighter based such as in gel forms and water-like solution so that it gets absorb into the skin quickly without clogging the pores or making your face oily.
Other factors that causes your acne treatment not to work is the hormonal imbalance in your body. It is recommended to balance your hormones level and your skin to ensure that you get optimal result during your acne treatment.
